Meadows Place is a cities located in Fort Bend County in the U.S. state of Texas within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area. As of the 2010 U.S. Census, the cities population was 4,660.Meadows Place was part of Stafford's extraterritorial jurisdiction prior to incorporation on November 14, 1983. Meadows Place was incorporated as Meadows, but this was changed to "Meadows Place" in 1997 due to postal conflicts with a cities of a similar name, Meadow, Texas. The cities of Meadows Place has its own police force and 24/7 fire and EMS protection. It is one of just two cities in Fort Bend County and under 90 nationwide that have a Class 1 ISO Fire rating. The current mayor is Charles Jessup.Meadows Place shares a ZIP code (77477) with Stafford, Texas, and the post office is in Stafford, but postal addresses in Meadows Place are designated as "Meadows Place, Texas".

Meadows Place is located along the northeast border of Fort Bend County at 29°38€²59€³N 95°35€²19€³W (29.649599 - -95.588747). It is bordered by the city of Sugar Land to the west - Stafford to the south - and Houston to the northeast in Harris County. Downtown Houston is 16 miles (26 km) to the northeast via Interstate 69 - the Southwest Freeway.According to the United States Census Bureau - the city has a total area of 0.9 square miles (2.3 km2) - all of it land.The city is located between West Bellfort Avenue - U.S. Route 59/I-69 - Dairy Ashford Road - and West Airport Boulevard. Meadows Place is 1 mile (1.6 km) southwest of Houston's Beltway 8.

• BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir : The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir of Houston, Texas is a traditional Hindu temple built by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. It is in unincorporated Fort Bend County, Texas, within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Stafford and with a Stafford mailing address. The BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, which is headed by Mahant Swami Maharaj, is a denomination of the Swaminarayan branch of Hinduism. It consists of a 11,500-square-foot, 73-foot tall open-air temple and a 25,620-square-foot surrounding deck. By July 2004 the cost to build the temple was $7 million at that time. The temple materials were carved out of Italian marble and Turkish limestone by 3,000 craftsmen in various parts of India. The pieces were shipped to Houston, and construction began in March 2002. 175 volunteers, including some individuals resident in India, came to the Houston area to help build the temple. Most of the labor was donated. Up until the opening, some finishing touches to the structure were made. The marble and limestone add up to 33,000 pieces. The mandir was built in 28 months. The mandir is the largest of its kind in Texas and was constructed according to guidelines outlined in ancient Hindu scriptures.
