    As of the census of 2000, there were 2,527 people, 1,018 households, and 722 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 608.8 people per square mile (235.1/km2). There were 1,269 housing units at an average density of 305.7/sq mi (118.1/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 87.61% White, 0.75% African American, 0.79% Native American, 0.24% Asian, 0.16% Pacific Islander, 8.79% from other races, and 1.66% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 21.29% of the population.There were 1,018 households, out of which 28.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.4% were married couples living together, 7.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.0% were non-families. 23.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 7.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.48 and the average family size was 2.94.In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 23.1% under the age of 18, 8.0% from 18 to 24, 26.6% from 25 to 44, 28.0% from 45 to 64, and 14.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females, there were 102.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 99.1 males.The median income for a household in the CDP was $42,317, and the median income for a family was $47,464. Males had a median income of $28,333 versus $23,375 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $21,079. About 2.0% of families and 4.3% of the population were below the poverty line, including 2.8% of those under age 18 and 4.5% of those age 65 or over.
